Some Advice from me, others opinions will surely differ

- What is the best way to own the series?
For my money, the DVDs offer the best value around for owning the Robotech Series. And if you throw down a few extra dollars for the box set, you are rewarded with bonus extras that every diehard fan will enjoy. Now that there are so many ways to own the series on DVD, I have created this page to help you decide.
- I am on a budget, are the extras really worth it?
Not all the box sets are the same, sets 1 and 2 contain extras that may not be important to you. Box set 3, however, contains Robotech II: The Sentinels. This makes it a must have. Check out the videos section to determine if the extras are worth the money for you.
- I do not have DVD, can I get the series on VHS?
The series was released in many different forms on VHS. The tapes can be found on ebay and various other places. But when you factor in the difficulty in finding the whole series, and excess cost (~$15 for 2eps VHS vs. ~$12 for 6eps DVD) you are probably better off just buying a DVD player. If you use my numbers above, VHS is about $700 and DVD is less than $200. You may be able to get copies of the whole series on VHS for less, but then the legality and quality will be questionable.
